I-Scooby-Dooby-Do!
It was I-Scooby-Do when dog lovers Val Taylor-Wood and Philip Harfoot tied the knot.
Guests of honour at the pooch-potty pair's wedding were nine Burmese mountain dogs.
"I wouldn't have liked to have got married without them" said 44-year-old Val."They're part of the family, even though the rest of Liskeard probably think we're mad."
Liskeard Register Office was packed to
capacity for the canine caper with Val and Philip's five dogs -
chief bridesmaid Ciara, best man Tyson, who carried the rings on a
ribbon around his neck, and bridesmaids Casey, Demi and Tango
-along with Ciara's mum Alice,Demi and Tango's half sister Mabel
and Daisy, who travelled from Manchester for the occasion.
Also witnessing the sealing of the happy couple's puppy love was three-month-old Elgar, who was born to Casey at the end of January.
"It was great to have the dogs there' said 47-year-old farmer Philip."It went very well and the dogs were really well behaved."
None of the 30 human guests who attended were shocked.Val's 20-year-old daughter Claire, who joined her other daugher Jenna,11,as one of two human attendants, said "I wasn't that surprised because they treat the dogs as though they're members of the family. We're all like big brothers and sisters with the dogs really."
And the canine connection did not end there - after the wedding Philip and Val set off for a week's honeymoon near Edinburgh with Ciara and Tyson to take part in the Scottish Kennel Club Show. "We're just dog mad" said Val."They're just the best dogs you could ever want."
