Fishy Invention Set To Cure Windy Problem

There will be no more burping babies according to a dad who has invented a new windless feeding bottle - inspired by his tropical fish!

Mark Ferguson,37,from England, says his new bottle also stops colic and reduces the possibility of baby sickness.

He got the idea when he noticed that bottle-feeding was more troublesome than breast-feeding.

His two eldest children Rheanna,13,and John,11,were breast-fed and didn't need winding as often as Daniel, aged three, who was bottle-fed.

He wondered why breast-feeding was less problematic than bottle feeding.

Then he realised the answer was under his nose in his tank of tropical fish.

He spotted a device which stops air being trapped in the tank.He then attached the device to a baby's bottle.

The design simply stops the feeding baby from swallowing air trapped in the bottle.

He said "I tried my invention on my fourth child,Jade, and it worked first time."

He is now trying to crack a multi-million pound market with his product which he has named the Windbreaker.

More than 200 companies have shown an interest in the new bottle and many firms have offered to start advertising campaigns for the product.

He said "I've had phone calls from companies in the United States and all over the world who are interested in the idea."

Now he is waiting to receive the patent for his invention.Armed with no inventing experience,he found his own materials and carried out his own research.

He said "The great thing is it actually works. It takes the pain out of feeding your baby and gives you more time to enjoy your child growing up."
