Couple Make Royal Pet Beds
A couple who specialise in making beds for pets have been given a royal seal of approval after they sent one to the Queen Mother.
Masarat and Jill Aziz set up this year with a £3,000 grant from a business start-up scheme.
They sent the corgi-sized bed in time for the Queen Mother's 100th birthday and have now received a letter from the palace thanking them for the "magnificent dog bed."
Their venture has been so successful that the beds are now sold in Harrods for between £60 and £300.
The couple came up with the idea to help their asthmatic son,Kasim, who was regularly joined in bed by the family cat.
Jill said "We were really pleased to get a reply from the Queen Mum's lady in waiting. We did send an offer to the Queen as well but she is not allowed to accept personal gifts. She said thanks anyway."
It is thought that the Queen Mum's pet bed will be used to provide a cosy place to sleep for the corgi puppy that the Queen gave as a 100th birthday present.
