Lord Of Manor Title For Sale - Manor Included
A Dorset businessman is offering someone the chance to become Lord of their very own country manor.
Not only is property developer Peter Bolton selling the rights of rule over the tranquil Dorset hamlet,he's also offering the chance to command your very own mini village.
He's put the six cottages
which make up the 18th century settlement on the market too.
The traditionally thatched stone buildings are widely considered to be amongst the most beautiful in the county.
Property developer Mr Bolton sold the cottages' neighbouring manor house in 1998 to author Minette Walters so he could move back to a home he first bought in the 1970s,but sold to buy the hamlet 11 years later.
He bought the
house back two years ago and now his agent said he has decided to
sell the rest of the hamlet..
His agent said "Mr Bolton thought the time was right to sell the six cottages, especially as he has settled back at his former home.He believes that there is no need to keep these half-a-dozen thatched cottages any more.
"There are two detached and two pairs of semi-detached thatched cottages up for sale. From the cottages there are lovely views up to the church and over the surrounding countryside.
"We are also selling the Lordships and the Rights of the Manor, although there are no rights connected with the title."
The agent added that the
company was also selling a nearby site, which has approval for a
new stud and three houses.
Each of the thatched cottages dates from the 18th Century and has one or two reception rooms, two or three bedrooms and bathrooms and a garden.
"We are quoting guide prices ranging from £190,000 to £295,000 and have already received a great deal of interest from people."
