Bath Disaster Sparks Baby Birth

Little Julia Davies was rushed to hospital after getting her finger stuck in a bath tap - and her mum Susan went into labour in the ambulance!

While 14-month-old Julia was getting her finger removed from the tap in casualty,Susan was rushed to the labour ward to give birth to baby Rachel.

Susan's husband Andrew,from Wales,said "It was unbelievable - one minute my wife and I are loading our daughter into the ambulance,the next I'm a dad again.

"I was giving Julia a bath and it all happened so quickly.I don't know how she got her finger caught.Her finger was stuck fast and even though I'm a plumber I just couldn't get it out so we called the fire brigade."

They removed the tap with Julia's finger still stuck and then the family dashed to the Hospital.

Andrew said "Susan went into labour on the way.She had been having pains all day but I think the incident made it all happen sooner."

Little Rachel weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 7ozs.
