Artist Gets His Hands On Liz's Curves!
What would Hugh say?!
It's no wonder Dorset artist Steve Topp has a smile on his face...he's just spent more than seven weeks lovingly caressing Liz Hurley's naked body.
After more than 14 weeks of toil,he has
finally finished a life-size clay sculpture of the English
beauty.
The 24-year-old sculptor, from Dorset, has spent thousands of hours adding detailed features to a foam-filled wire frame to come up with her heavenly body.
After carefully styling everything from the hair to the boobs,he finished the piece off by adding a typical Hurley-style low-cut hanging clay dress.
"I wanted to model someone really glamorous with the right face" said Steve, who worked from photos of Liz.
"She seemed ideal because she has such a strong face and I found it very expressive."
He was able to get "an idea of her size and shape" from magazine and newspaper pictures.
"I think I have caught her proportions pretty well, although I have had to do it all from photographs.
"I had no idea about cup sizes for
the breasts, the shape of her tummy or the size of her thighs, but
I am very pleased with how it has come out.
"For the first seven weeks she was totally naked and I tried to style every body part as it would be when she is sitting.
"The reason I did her in the nude before adding the dress is because I wanted it to hang off her, which it wouldn't do if I just moulded it with the body."
The posh garment is not 'That Dress',but is instead based on one she wore to a film festival in 1997.
"I like to think she would like it the sculpture.I think of it as a tribute to her style and elegance" said Steve.
Liz is not the first beautiful woman Steve has modelled.
He has also done two topless pieces of
Page Three beauty Melinda Messenger and one clothed version of
model Emma Noble.
"Emma was the hardest to do and she cost me my girlfriend because I was so dedicated to completing her.
"I was so busy that I became quite unsociable and would never go out.
"In the end my girlfriend said she'd had enough and left."
Steve, who will dismantle Liz in the next few weeks before she starts to crack up,hopes someone will spot his work and commission him to do more.
"I think I will do Naomi Campbell lying in the bath next but I would also like to do Chris Evans and maybe Brad Pitt in a sort of Michaelangelo's David pose.
"Once you have the sculpture in clay,it can be used to make a mould for a bronze sculpture or wax figure."
